Financial Consultant Testimony

Raghuwaran

Prudential Financial Consultant

People will be surprised to know that a small-sized man like me is able to do many things. For example, play soccer, badminton, pool, dance, act, emcee, do sales, etc. I am actually an all-rounder who enjoys participating in almost everything. Two scenarios – I have a great time by doing what I’m doing, or I make everyone around me have a great time together.

How would you describe life at DPG?

First time I entered DPG office. The energy and vibes I got from the place was unique.

Walls are filled with plaques and the first thing I saw was a big poster of one of the ALs there. Her name is Prudence, the poster was about top consultant in Prudential. That was very inspiring and of course motivated me to reach there one day.
Upon entering the office, everyone there was very welcoming, greeted me and had small chat with me.

When did you join DPG? What motivates you to be a FC then and today?

I joined DPG on March 2020. I joined as an FC because I know that this is a people industry, where I get to meet many people. I have this mindset where the people around me could be like 20 of them. The knowledge and wisdom I can learn from are constricted within 20 of them. Imagine if I know 200 people. My learning curve can be more, and we will never know how and what I can learn from others. As we all walk different journeys in our lives. Adding onto this, advising people, and insuring them and their families gives me a little commission and building a passive income which gives me a decent income to provide for myself and my family, I look at it as a win-win situation.

Today, I am motivated to build my team and do this together. I have more than 100 clients that I am servicing today. If one person can impact 100 clients and if I have a team and do this together, we can impact a bigger community. Thus, that’s what motivates me today.

Share with us some interesting observations about DPG culture today.

DPG has a selfless culture where the agency has inter-sharing of knowledge and skills. Agency leaders come together and plan training programs for Senior Financial Consultants and new Financial Consultants. People are all very selfless when it comes to sharing and helping each other. I find DPG gives importance to family and bonding as I see they have been constantly organizing bonding events among us or even for our clients. For example, events for families like ice cream making, origami figure making, scent diffuser making, etc. Mentality like this is what I am drawn to because our business is all about people, families, and service.
